Quick review of the new Landsknecht Emporium feder (shortened variant)

Within a few months of acquiring the short Regenyei feder as a loaner piece for my group, it soon became obvious that having just one steel loaner wasn’t really going to be much good since nobody else was planning to buy steel in the short term and the feder would obviously just destroy any wooden and synthetic weapons it interacted with. So I figured out that I’d need a second one sooner rather than later, and the opportunity presented itself when Arming Guild advertised an upcoming batch of feders from Landsknecht Emporium. These feders were said to be a completely new and different model from their sturdy but rather clunky 2016 munitions-grade feder, being made more agile and more flexible to facilitate fencing with moderate protection. I asked whether there’d be a shortened model available and Sven at Arming Guild said that the Landsknecht folks would rather just customise one of the feders they were already making in the batch, although it’d mean that they’d have to give it a rolled tip rather than the bulbous one they were putting on the standard variant. It didn’t sound like a major downside to me so I took them up on that offer.
